Over Eeserhof

The current location of Eeserhof has been a restaurant for decades. Originally, it was a farmhouse combined with a living room café. Later, it became a fully-fledged café with a venue for theaters and parties.

Around the turn of the century, a major expansion took place, with the addition of conference rooms and 18 hotel rooms. In early 2022, the number of rooms was increased to 30. The hotel has an elevator.

Hotel Eeserhof has significantly increased its green footprint by installing solar panels, making us self-sufficient in our electricity supply for much of the year. We're also adding more parking spaces, with charging stations for electric cars.

Since mid-2016, the company has been in the hands of its current owners. Together with their staff, they embody the spirit of "Hotel Eeserhof, Friendly and Hospitable!"

Located near Borger, the Hunebed capital of the Netherlands, in the heart of the wooded Drenthe region, Eeserhof is a true family hotel with a diverse clientele.

The area surrounding Eeserhof is ideal for recreational activities such as cycling, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, and horseback riding. Visiting dolmens, festivals, cultural events, beaches near forest lakes, museums, and city centers are also popular activities. This is what draws tourists to the area.



Its central location between Assen, Emmen, and Stadskanaal offers business visitors a good reason to visit. Especially because the city of Groningen and the port of Delfzijl are within easy reach, Eeserhof is becoming increasingly popular with business guests.
